Ante Up will sponsor the Cards & Bars team tournament at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Tampa Bay Downs.
Four-person teams will face off in a unique format that ends with an 8-player heads-up bracket. The winning player wins an Ante Up Poker Cruise package for his or her entire team, with other prizes dependent on the prize pool.
Buy-in is $30 per person ($120 per team). Players start with 1,000 in chips, but an additional 4,000 in chips are available for a $30 add-on.
The tournament is an open event and teams don’t have to be sponsored by a bar or poker league. But bars and leagues that sponsor teams can distribute pamphlets, etc., at the event, and will win a free ad in Ante Up Magazine if one of their teams wins the event.
