The bill is the House’s combined attempt to address the Seminole Compact and removing most poker restrictions.
The Senate has passed <a href="http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Bills/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=40418&SessionIndex=-1&SessionId=61&BillText=cardroom&BillNumber=&BillSponsorIndex=0&BillListIndex=0&BillStatuteText=&BillTypeIndex=0&BillReferredIndex=0&HouseChamber=H&BillSearchIndex=0">SB 788</a>, its Seminole Compact bill, and its parimutuels and poker bill, <a href="http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Bills/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=40442&SessionIndex=-1&SessionId=61&BillText=cardroom&BillNumber=&BillSponsorIndex=0&BillListIndex=0&BillStatuteText=&BillTypeIndex=0&BillReferredIndex=0&HouseChamber=H&BillSearchIndex=0">SB 836</a>, has passed out of committee and is awaiting action in the full Senate.
Now, the chambers will begin negotiations over the bills to see whether they can reach a compromise before the Legislature adjourns on May 1.
