Muckleshoot’s Spring Poker Classic returns

The Spring Classic at Muckleshoot Casino returned for the first time in two years, much to the delight of its players, and wrapped up March 23.
The $300 Omaha/8 event had $5K added, attracting 101 players as Mike Helander of Kent, Wash., and James Ahern of Seattle chopped for $8,050 each.

The $300 no-limit hold’em event also had $5K added, drawing 280 entries as Ken Hennum of Seattle won the title and $22K. Richard Johnson of Auburn, Wash., was second for $14K and he earned best overall player for the series for another $5K.

The $500 NLHE event had $15K added, drew 245 entries and Mark Smith of Seattle bested 244 players $35K. Jesus Gonzalez of Wenathchee, Wash., was second ($22,500).

The $750 main event had $25K added, which brought in 201 players as Tai Nguyen of Seattle captured the title and $42K. Lance Dodd of Silverdale, Wash., was second ($35K).
