The Vincent Lecavalier Celebrity Poker Classic will be Sept. 10 at Derby Lane in St. Petersburg, Fla. Lecavalier, his Tampa Bay Lightning teammates and UB.net pros Annie Duke and Joe Sebok will be joined by a host of local and national celebrities for the NLHE tournament, which benefits the Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at All Children’s Hospital. Since its debut in 2006, the Vincent Lecavalier Celebrity Poker Classic has raised more than $350,000 for the center.
Participants will compete for a $100,000 prize pool and celebrity bounties. There are unlimited $100 rebuys during the first hour. Celebrities will play for a $20,000 Last Celebrity Standing payday to be donated to their favorite charity.
Buy-ins start at $550 and all entries include a boot camp clinic with 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jerry Yang.
A $750 buy-in gets you a seat to a boot camp clinic with Duke and Sebok, and the clinic with Yang. Sponsorship packages including the poker seminars with Duke and Yang, as well as a private lunch with Duke, are also available.
