The Studz Poker Club at Calder Casino and Race Course has come up with the March Tournament of Champions, to be played April 5.
The event kicks off with a $10K guarantee on March 14 at noon. The $100 buy-in gets you 6K units and 30 minute blinds. An optional $20 add-on gets you 3K more chips.
Everyone who plays in tournaments March 14-March 31st will earn points, and all multitable tournaments are eligible.
Buy-in points will be distributed as follows:
$40 and $60 buy-in MTTs = 1 point
$100+ MTTs = 2 points
Prize pool points awarded as follows:
Points will be divided based off amount of players being “paid” in the multitable tournaments. For example, if five spots are being paid in the multitable tournament here is the points payout structure:
1st place – 5 points
2nd place – 4 points
3rd place – 3 points
4th place – 2 points
5th place – 1 point
On April 5 prizes will be awarded to the top 64 players as follows:
• Players ranking 33–64 receive a Studz shirt
• Players 17–32 receive a Studz shirt and hat
• Players 1–16 receive a Studz shirt, hat, card protector and will play a final tournament with a $5,000 prize pool.
The final will be at 7 p.m. as players will get 5K and 30-minute rounds. An optional $20 add-on gets you 3K more units.

1st place – $1,750
2nd place – $1,045
3rd place – $685
4th place – $485
5th place – $360
6th place – $275
7th place – $220
8th place – $180
