Kevin Schaffel of Coral Springs will return to Las Vegas in November as one of the "November Nine," the final nine players left in the World Series of Poker’s Main Event.
Schaffel will enter a final table – that includes world famous pro Phil Ivey and CardPlayer’s Jeff Shulman – 6th in chips with 12,390,000.
Schaffel is guaranteed $1,263,602 in prize money, which the WSOP has paid all nine finalists. Remaining prize money is in an interest-bearing account and will be paid out in November.
Ante Up will post more details on Schaffel and his amazing run in the coming days.
Also on Wednesday, the other remaining Floridian, James Calderaro, bowed out in 13th place.
