State Rep. Ellyn Bogdanoff, R-Ft. Lauderdale, plans to introduce a bill called the "Gaming Equalization Act," Josh Hafenbrack of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Bogdanoff’s proposal would allow all forms of Las Vegas-style gaming in South Florida parimutuel facilities that are already authorized to offer slot machines. It would also allow additional gaming permits to be issued with an eye toward creating "destination resort-casinos" in South Florida, Hafenbrack reports.

The bill would also create the Florida Gaming Commission to oversee gambling in the state.
