A compromise reached this evening between Florida House and Senate negotiators gives Florida poker players just about anything they can ask for (as long as they are 21 or older). But before the celebration begins, the deal has to be approved by the full House and Senate on Friday, and then the Seminole Tribe.

Talks broke off abruptly this afternoon, and it appeared that no compromise was possible. But this evening, House negotiators conceded much of their ground, and the Senate negotiators quickly accepted.

The highlights:

NO LIMIT: No limits on poker bets or buy-ins at any of the Indian or parimutuel poker rooms in the state.

HOURS: 18 hours a day Monday-Friday, 24 hours Saturday and Sunday.

AGE: Must be 21 to play.

QUARTER HORSE TRACKS: Poker rooms can as soon after a facility is built and the first race is held.
