Nick Sortal of the Sun-Sentinel <a href="http://blogs.trb.com/entertainment/news/gambling/blog/2009/07/jason_mercier_ready_to_take_a.html">caught up</a> with rising star Jason Mercier, a Davie player who recently was added to the Team PokerStars roster after winning a World Series of Poker bracelet.
Mercier tells Sortal that he’s planning to take a two-month break from live play to spend some time with his new girlfriend and play online. Mercier has maintained a very heavy travel schedule since winning the EPT San Remo last year.
