Joseph Kuether of Elm Grove, Wis., has moved into fifth place in the race for Ante Up’s 2012 Player of the Year.
Kuether finished seventh in the $1,600-buy-in Grand Challenge main event at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev., which began May 1. Mike DelVecchio of Las Vegas, Nev., won the 107-player event.
Phahurat, who previously won the Harrah’s Rincon World Series of Poker Circuit event, added earned 163.37 Ante Up POY points at the MGM Grand for a total of 931.39, good for fifth place. Abraham Araya of Carrollton, Texas, remains in first place with 1,314 points.
