William Burdick of Palmetto took down a $300 no-limit hold’em undercard event at the World Series of Poker Circuit in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and he did it in fantastic fashion.

Bernard Lee of the Boston Herald recounted a pivotal final table hand where Burdick pushed all-in from the big blind with J-J, only to run in to A-A and K-K. But Burdick rivered a straight and then never relinquished the lead and won $30,000.
