Bucky’s Casino in Prescott, Ariz., will send four winners on an Ante Up Poker Cruise in tournaments in March.
The tournaments will be March 1, 8, 15 and 22. Buy-in is $60 and the tournaments are shootouts. Each day will feature shootouts at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Top three players from each shootout will advance to the multitable final at 4 p.m. where the winner will get an Ante Up Poker Cruise package for the Nov. 7 sailing out of Tampa, Fla.
Ante Up Poker Cruises transforms the conference centers aboard regularly scheduled Royal Caribbean and NCL cruise sailings into a professionally staffed and equipped poker room, complete with cash games, tournaments, free poker classes and an open-bar cocktail party.
Winners will enjoy all of the amenities of cruising while also being able to player poker aboard the Brilliance of the Seas, departing Nov. 7. The Ante Up Poker Room will be open at least 51 hours during the trip.

TALKING STICK RESORT: The Arena Poker Room hosted its first “Stay-Cation Weekend” on Jan. 2-4. Players who signed up for tournaments on all three days received a free two-night stay at the resort.
Day 1 was a $200 event that had 338 competitors, generating a $57,460 prize pool. The final 11 chopped for $4,172 each. They were Daniel Hanson, Mark Babekov, Fabian Martinez, James Zhang, Laurence Fulop, Andrew Rubinberg, Michael Castas, Douglas Milner, Andre Boyer, Amy Strutt and Karen Barber.
Day 2’s $300 event drew 351 entries for a massive prize pool of $93,015. The top three places were Mack Baker ($21,114), Troy Sprung ($13,022) and Kerri Anderson ($8,836).
The final event on Day 3 was a $300 turbo bounty with 190 entries. This made the prize pool worth $31,350 and $19K in $100 bounties. The final six players chopped for $3,237 each. The winners were Thomas Helms, Douglas Flittie, Shawn Vetter, Tristan Reader, Vladimir Fomine and Corey Alfred.
FORT MCDOWELL CASINO: The Fort continues to have success with its Aces Cracked promotion. Players who lose with pocket aces within their first two hours of live play receive $100. After the second hour it goes to $200, and after the third hour $300. After the fourth hour and for the remainder of the day players losing with A-A get $400. Omaha players even qualify as long as there is an ace on the board and they receive no part of the pot.
CLIFF CASTLE: The Friday and Saturday shootout tournaments along with high hands each day continue to be the highlights at Club 52.
HON-DAH: The poker room has added a “Snowing Green” promotion to its regular list of tournaments and promotions. Players earn tickets toward cash drawings on Feb. 12 and March 19. You could win $1K.
