The Derby Lane poker room in St. Petersburg, Fla., is reprising a monthly tournament standard with a few twists, including helping the local food banks. The Mega/Mega tournament has become a staple, whether it be over various weeks or crammed into one weekend. But this month there are a few changes.
Derby Lane is running a $225 tournament with a $25 bounty. The tournament is Nov. 22 with flights starting at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. and then another flight Nov. 23 at 1. Starting with 10K units, you can spend another $10 for 5K more as a dealer add-on and 5K more for a $10 donation. So, with 20K units and 40-minute blinds, this is sure to be a huge draw. Restart will be Nov. 24 at noon.
