The San Diego area will host a few interesting tournaments and $50K is the magic number.Fresh on the heels (almost) of its Memorial Day tournament and BBQ, which had 198 players, a $79,200 prize pool and was won by Afzal (Alex) Atta ($19K), Ocean’s 11 Casino is featuring its (estimated) $50K July 4 tournament and BBQ.It starts at 10 a.m., has a $330 buy-in with an optional $10 add-on and will feature $85 satellites the week before the event.
On July 21 at 1 p.m., the Viejas poker room is hosting its $50K guarantee Viejas Aces Tournament.There’s a $335 entry fee (tickets go on sale July 1). As an added bonus, all players finishing in the top 10 in one of the Friday night tournaments win a $100 voucher to be used toward this tournament.
Finally, the Pechanga poker room and RiverCard will co-host the $50K guarantee RiverCard “Quest for the Cup IX” tournament July 28 at 2 p.m.The buy-in is $230 with an optional $10 add-on. Levels are 30 minutes and players can re-enter in the first hour.There will be no chopping allowed for this tournament. Daniel Turov won the last RiverCard event at Pala in May.
