On Saturday, Dec. 13, poker enthusiasts will have the chance to win big, while giving back to the community at Talking Stick Resort’s Christmas Toy Drive Tournament. As part of the annual no-limit hold’em tournament, now in its 17th year, players bring in a new unwrapped gift to buy in. Gifts collected during the tournament will be donated to the Salt River Children’s Foundation on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
Play in the tournament will start at 11:15 a.m. with each participant starting with 3,000 in chips for the price of their new, unwrapped gift valued at $10 or more. In return for their goodwill, participants have a shot at winning a portion of the $14,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players can sign up now in the Arena Poker Room at the resort, the donated gift is due at the time of sign up.
