Spanish high roller Sergi Reixach captures the sixth event of the inaugural British Poker Open, continuing his strong 2019 campaign by adding another £253K to his bankroll. Reixach defeated a field of 22 entries in this £25K event where he outlasted Timothy Adams, Elio Fox, and Michael Zhang at the final table.

“It’s been a tough final day,” Reixach said after his victory. “The bubble lasted four hours or something; it’s probably one of the longest bubbles I ever played. After the bubble burst, I was lucky in a three-way all-in with pocket nines and heads-up was just a cooler… and I win!”

The final table started with the longest bubble play in recent memory as four hours went by before Ali Imsirovic departed without receiving any compensation. Then, on an epic hand, both Fox and Zhang busted against Reixach. Zhang moved all-in from the button with Q-10 offsuit, Fox called from the small blind with A-7 of diamonds and Reixach shoved from thet big blind with nines. Fox called for his tournament life and Reixach’s nines held up.

The heads-up match lasted for one hand as Adams moved all-in with K-Q and busted to Reixac’s A-K suited.
