Vitelo shines at Fall Poker Roundup at Wildhorse

The Wildhorse Resort and Casino, four miles east of Pendleton, Ore., recently concluded its Fall Poker Roundup, which had $40K added to the prize pools. Three times a year Wildhorse closes its four-table poker room to fill its bingo hall and one of its big meeting rooms with a sea of poker tables. This rendition ran Nov. 7-16.

Sam Vitelo of Portland captured the $520 main event, which had $10K added, for $42K. The series featured 12 events, including HORSE, seniors, Omaha and a high roller.

Here’s a list of the winners: Josh Norman from Selah, Wash., (Event 1, $12K); Jose Perez from Wapata, Wash., (Event 2 for $21K); Chad Wassmuth from Lewiston, Idaho, (Event 3 for $10K); Terry Fuerst from Bainbridge Island, Wash., (Event 4, $10K); Bonnie Overfield from Moses Lake, Wash., (Event 5, $7K); Jorge Caneda from Kennewick, Wash., (Event 6, $4K); Greg Hoeschen from Burbank, Calif., (Event 7, $10K), Caneda (Event 8, $18K); Michael Kinney from Big Lake, Alaska, (Event 9, $13K); Himmaphoum Bounthinh from Portland, (Event 10, $24K) and Joseph Novak from Kennewick, Wash., (Event 12, $2K).
