Here’s a look at what’s going in at our rooms during the holiday season.
TALKING STICK RESORT: The annual Christmas Toy Drive charity tournament is Dec. 20 at 11:15 a.m. Monday-Friday at 11:15 are tournaments with an $80 buy-in. Monday-Thursday at 7:15 p.m. are $130. The $330 Big Stack event is Dec. 6 at 11:15 and Dec. 13 at 11:15 will be the $220 Super Bounty tourney. There are football game promotions, sports event second-chance drawings, graveyard high hands and Aces Cracked, plus the $50K Mega Omaha-stud jackpot has not been hit.
FORT MCDOWELL: Monday-Friday at noon features a $30 tourney. There are $5 tournaments Saturdays at noon and 4 p.m. as well as Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday at 7. Saturdays at 7 and Sundays at noon you can play a $50 deepstack. Mondays at 7 is Omaha with a $5 buy-in and $5 rebuys. Thursdays at 7 is a $60 event. A $60 ladies event is Dec. 14.
CLIFF CASTLE: Monday-Friday (10 a.m.) there are $30 shootouts and Wednesdays at 7 feature $60 events. Splash Pots are from 8 p.m.-midnight. On Fridays at 7, there are $25 shootouts with $150 added per table, and on Saturdays at noon is a $90 event with $500 added to the prize pool.
Sunday-Friday features Aces Cracked and win $100 with a royal flush daily. The newest promotion is the Saturday High Hand from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. The high hand is picked four times a day, and if you win all four high hands you receive $1K more.
HON-DAH: Monday night features football splash pots and pizza during the game. There are $100 high hands Friday and Saturday for hold’em players. Aces Cracked wins players $50 Sunday-Thursday 7 p.m.-close. Tuesdays at 6 p.m. is a $15 tourney while Wednesday and Thursday feature $25 double-stack events at6 p.m. with a $25 add-on. Friday is $45 bounty tourney (6 p.m.) with $10 rebuys and a $10 add-on. Saturdays at 4 is a $30 tourney with $10 rebuys and a $10 add-on. Sundays at 4 is a $30 no-limit crazy pineapple event with $10 rebuys and a $10 add-on.
BUCKY’S: There are football splash pots Sundays 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tournaments are Mondays (10 a.m., 6 p.m.), Wednesdays and Thursdays (6 p.m.). Ladies Night Tuesdays at 6 is just a $20 buy-in. Omaha high hands Wednesdays and Fridays (9 a.m.-4 p.m.). Fridays at 6 p.m. is a bounty tournament and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. is the Progressive Aces Cracked.
TWIN ARROWS: There are morning and evening splash pots, plus the first three players to get their aces cracked earn $50. Sunday-Wednesday, the first jacks, queens and kings cracked receive $50. Royal flushes using both hole cards will earn $100. There’s a $40 tournament every Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at noon is a bounty tourney.
