Northern Edge Navajo Casino, a six-table poker room, is in a state of transformation, but a little construction doesn’t slow down the games. The three weekly hold’em tournaments continue: $45 Tuesday nights, $20 Fridays and $40 Saturday afternoon. Winners of Tuesday tournaments take a free pass into a deepstack event the second Saturday each month.
Also, $4-$8 Omaha/8 is popular on Tuesday and Sunday afternoons, sometimes with a full or half kill.
SANTA ANA STAR CASINO: Two weekly $10 buy-in tournaments begin in August (Wednesday and Sunday). The Share the Wealth promotion is progressive with anticipated players’ pool of more than $6K every month.
BUFFALO THUNDER: There are daily hold’em and Omaha tournaments (buy-ins of $25, $50 and $75), plus a special Omaha/8 tournament Aug. 10 and the Last Saturday of the Month NLHE deepstack is on Aug. 30.
SANDIA: This month, the Sandia poker room features a noon Sunday $40 tournament, a 7 p.m. Tuesday $40 event and a 7 p.m. Thursday $65 bounty tournament.
ISLETA: Five times every Wednesday in August, Isleta presents Players Reward cash drawings for $200 each. Its 94 Rock tournament final will be Aug. 14 and a freeroll will be Aug 30.
INN OF THE MOUNTAIN GODS: The Inn features its regular Sunday $75 event, except Aug. 10, which is when the exciting Test Your Might Tournament takes over the room.
KICKAPOO LUCKY EAGLE: August features Monday, Wednesday, Thursday $100-$300 bonuses for quads, straight flushes and royals. There’s also a 50-player tourney every Sunday ($150) and 70-player, $25 buy-in Super Tuesday events.
