Mike Woznicki emerged recently as the last player standing to capture the $9K first-place prize, not to mention $1,320 in bounties, at Potawatomi Casino’s popular Knockout Bounty Tournament, which saw World Poker Tour commentator Vince Van Patten serve as a special bounty. Van Patten lasted about four hours.

Meanwhile, in the northern part of the state, Bad River Lodge Poker Room is providing great action every Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 1:30 a.m., and on Saturdays from 6 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. In Odanah, Bad River Casino is home to a two-table room that offers $1-$2 NLHE and hosts a load of great promotions, including Aces Cracked, a high-hand bonus for a straight flush and royal flush and a bad-beat jackpot that’s triggered when aces full of sevens is beaten by quads or better. On Wednesdays at 6 p.m. (registration begins at 5), Bad River holds a $35 tournament that pays top three. For more information, visit badriver.com.
