It’s a pretty busy month for tournaments in the Pacific Northwest, especially in Oregon.
Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, Ore., will host the DeepStacks Poker Tour for the second time (March 22-30), including a $150K guarantee main event ($1,100 buy-in) that kicks off March 28 at noon.
Pros such as Mike “Mouth” Matusow, Tristan Wade and Randal Flowers will be on hand as the main event has two Day 1s and is a re-entry event with 25K starting chips and 50-minute levels.
There will be 15 events in this series, including satellites to bigger events, a HORSE event, a ladies tournament, a six-max and Omaha events. For more on this series, please see the ad on the facing page.
• Encore Club in Portland hosts a $40K guarantee ($250 buy-in) on March 15. The club also offers six daily tournaments with guarantees. See the Where to Play pages in the back for the magazine for more information.
• Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, Ore., hosts its Pot of Gold series March 12-15, including a $330 main event (with $1K added to the prize pool). The series starts with a $175 Beat the Boss tournament that features $500 added to the prize pool. For more info, call the poker room.
