For the first time, Ante Up’s Southwest column will include a poker room from the great state of Texas. The newest kid on the block is in Eagle Pass, Texas, where the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino has some terrific November promotions.
There is a $20 no-limit hold’em rebuy event every Tuesday at 7 p.m., including unlimited $10 rebuys. On the second and fourth Sundays, a $75 bounty tournament starts at 1 p.m., including a one-time add-on for $10, and $25 bounties.
The first and third Sundays feature $120 tournament at 1 p.m., including a one-time add-on for $10.
Also, the high hand of the hour every Wednesday from 3-11 p.m. wins $100. And Aces Cracked is every Monday and Thursday (3-11 p.m.) earns $100.
Arizona
TALKING STICK RESORT: The Arena Poker Room is looking forward to its Jack and Jill no-limit hold’em championship, which has a $12K guarantee on Nov. 23 (11:15 a.m.) Buy-in is $115 per couple as play alternates every 30 minutes. Players begin with 5K chips, with an optional $10 add-on for 1,500 chips. WILD HORSE PASS AND VEE QUIVA: November promotions for Vee Quiva and Wild Horse Pass look familiar, with for the following exceptions: at Wild Horse, there will be no East-West tournament, and baseball splash pots are replaced by basketball splash pots. At Vee Quiva, baseball splash pots are replaced by basketball splash pots.
New Mexico
ISLETA RESORT & CASINO: A new Camaro will be given away in a drawing on Dec. 14 as players earn tickets for each hour of live play in the poker room or by making an ace-high flush.
BUFFALO THUNDER RESORT AND CASINO: A reminder to players who clocked 40 hours of live play in October, your freeroll is Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. Also, a $100 Omaha/8 tournament is Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. Players start with 5K chips and have 20-minute levels, plus $100 will be added to the prize pool per table.
From Nov. 1-Dec. 24, the poker room hosts its $5,200 Holiday Cash Giveaway, Players receive one entry ticket for every two hours of live play and there will be three drawings daily (Dec. 11-24). Plus, Happy Hour is coming to the poker room, with beverage and food specials nightly.
ROUTE 66 CASINO HOTEL: The poker room’s monthly event is Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. The prize pool will have $2K added, and there are three ways to get in: play 35-plus hours and entry is free; play 20-34 hours and pay half ($150) or buy-in directly for $300.
