Jim D’Orso of Roseville, Calif., has won Event #7 ($125 No-Limit Hold’em) of the Ante Up World Championship at the Hard Rock Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
D’Orso, who won his way to the event via a satellite at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, Calif., got title and the best of a four-way chop, with Vic Sabo of Lakeport, Fla., getting slightly more than third and fourth. First place before the deal was $1,920.
Gerald Landy of Jeanerette, La., who won his way to the event via a satellite at Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel in Charenton, La., was also part of the four-way deal.
