Ante Up changes corporate name to Ante Up Poker Media LLC

Ante Up Poker Media LLC has officially changed its corporate name to better reflect the rapidly expanding ways the company connects poker players to its clients.

"In the past five years, we’ve added cruises, a tour, televised and live-streamed events, leagues and much more to our national magazine and worldwide audio show, so the name Ante Up Publishing has become too small for what we do," said Scott Long, who founded the company with fellow publisher Christopher Cosenza in 2008. "The name Ante Up Poker Media reinforces what has been our guiding principle since Day One – to reach players wherever, whenever and however they play the game of poker."

The Florida Department of State’s Division of Corporations approved the name change in April.

Ante Up Poker Media’s products include:

Ante Up Magazine: The magazine is available for free in more than 260 poker rooms and casinos nationwide, and each month prints state-by-state news from its team of more than two dozen Ambassadors, plus strategy columns from top professional players and the most up-to-date listings of poker room promotions, tournaments and special events of any national poker magazine.

Ante Up PokerCast: The weekly audio show is the longest continually running poker podcast, never missing a week since its first show on June 15, 2005. Each week, the affable hosts riff on news and trends in the poker world, discuss strategy and highlight emails and phone calls from its audience that spans more than 35 countries worldwide.

AnteUpMagazine.Com: The 24/7 hub of Ante Up activity, Ante Up’s website features individual news pages for every state where poker is legal, in addition to a fan forum page, complete archives of Ante Up Magazine and the Ante Up PokerCast and much more.

Ante Up Poker Cruises: Four times a year, Ante Up transforms the conference centers aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Line ships into floating poker rooms, complete with cash games, tournaments, professional instruction and social events.

Ante Up Poker Tour: Ante Up launched its tournament series last year with six events in the United States and the Dominican Republic, each featuring the main event champion on the cover of Ante Up Magazine. In 2014, the brand will expand to many more venues, giving even smaller properties an affordable way to host a tournament series and get generous marketing support behind it.

Ante Up Television: In partnership with Fallah Productions, Ante Up has produced televised and live-streamed coverage of tournaments across the country.

Ante Up Poker Leagues: Much like a bowling league, players in Ante Up Poker Leagues participate in poker tournaments in host locations on a recurring basis, driving play on slow nights and awarding top performers an Ante Up Poker Cruise package, personalized league champion’s jacket and recognition in Ante Up Magazine.

Ante Up Shop: Ante Up offers a variety of Ante Up logo items, plus one-click access to more information on subscriptions, single copies, cruises and products from trusted partners, in its new Ante Up Shop.
