Chris Dombrowski wins World Series of Poker Event #30

Chris Dombrowski is the most recent World Series of Poker champion outlasting the 2,108-player field in Event 30, a $1,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em event for his first gold bracelet victory and $346,332. Dombrowski now boasts 18 WSOP-related cashes on top of almost $450,000 in career earnings.

Things looked grim for Dombrowski short handed as Jesse McEuen held the majority of the chips in play. The pair dueled on various occasions until Dombrowski edged out McEuen for the chip lead and eventually eliminated him 3rd propelling himself to the heads-up chip lead.

As often is the case, Dombrowski and the eventual second-place finisher, Mathew Moore, partook in a back-and-forth battle pulling at the heartstrings of each of the hopeful champions. Dombrowksi got the last laugh, holding playing card: Ahplaying card: 7s against Moore’s playing card: Khplaying card: 6d all-in before the flop. An ace on the board spelled the end for the 25-year-old Moore who won $215,578.

This $1,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event drew 2,108 players and generated a $1,897,200 prize pool. The top 216 players finished in the money. Some of the notables who cashed were John Phan (199th), Scott Clements (178th), Erika Moutinho (155th), Jon Aguiar (112th), Zach Clark (64th), Brent Wheeler (54th), John Racener (36th), Antoine Saout (34th) and Eddy Sabat (32nd).

The final table featured no previous bracelet winners, but did include some experienced players like Dombrowski and Circuit regular Carter Myers.
