Turtle Creek Casino’s poker room is celebrating the running of its holiday tournament, Tis The Season to Hold’Em, a $100 freezeout that included $750 in additional cash prizes on Dec. 15. Free money is always a good reason for players from all over the Midwest to visit the remodeled, 10-table poker room.

Following the running of its holiday tournament, Turtle Creek is continuing with its Super Stack tournaments that run the first Saturday of the month. With a buy-in of $175, players can receive 16K chips with 30-minute levels, which can mean some deep play indeed.

“It’s a great structure,” supervisor Matt Kolinski said. Antes start in the later levels, a feature that’s often appreciated by tournament players.

Though the Super Stack only plays once a month, Turtle Creek has tournaments every day, including a weekly $100 deepstack event Sundays at 2 p.m.. The room even provides a bonus of 500 chips if you register before 1.

In 2010, Turtle Creek Casino remodeled its poker room into the comfortable, updated environment that players find today. Located in Williamsburg, Mich., the poker room often draws from the resorts near the area and is a great getaway for poker players from Detroit and Grand Rapids.
