Dover Downs’ Crown Royal Poker Room hosts the first Delaware Poker Championship on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. Qualifying tournaments to win a seat into the championship began in December.
Players may buy in to the main event for $560 or use earned vouchers. They start with 15,000 chips and will have 30-minute levels. No add-ons or rebuys will be available.
On Sept. 9 single-table satellites will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The buy-in is $71 for 1,500 chips and 15-minute levels. One seat will be awarded for each table. The super-satellite event at 8 p.m. will have 20-minute levels and a $71 buy-in for 8K chips. Top 10 percent of the field wins a seat to the championship.
There also will be a $75 super satellite on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. as one in 10 will earn a seat.
Other satellites will run Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. ($95, 8K chips, 20-minute levels). SNG satellites will be available for $71 afterward.
• Delaware Park will have many guarantee tournaments throughout the month, including every Saturday a $10K and $15K guarantee with a $150 buy-in.
