Ante Up publishes its May 2010 issue

Darvin Moon, poker’s "everyman" who finished 2nd in last year’s World Series of Poker Main Event, is on the cover of the May issue of Ante Up Magazine.

Moon, a Maryland logger in the family business, won a satellite at Wheeling Island Casino and turned it into $5 million in Las Vegas. He admits that’s impossible for the money not to change you, but he’s remained as humble, humorous and level-headed as always. He’ll visit Daytona Beach Kennel Club in Florida May 15-16 for the Venetian Deep Stack Charity Classic Poker Tournament.

A significant change in Florida poker laws that will remove bet and buy-in limits and extend operating hours awaits only Gov. Charlie Crist’s expected signature before taking effect on July 1. Ante Up columnists Marc Dunbar and Scott Long tell you how the deal happened … and what to expect.

The issue is arriving in rooms and leagues throughout the Southern United States this week, and is posted at Featured columns can also be found
