Hard Rock Tampa’s bad beat hits for $211K

At the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, David E. Crowder of Winter Park won $52,766 and Phyllis A. Bell of Tampa pocketed $105,531 of the $211,065 bad-beat jackpot on Sept. 2. In hold’em, Crowder’s quad nines beat Bell’s four deuces. This jackpot means Hard Rock has paid more than $3 million in bad beats in 2009.
