Legislation to loosen Florida’s poker restrictions remains in play after leaders from the Florida House and Florida Senate reached an agreement on the parameters of a state budget Tuesday, and will extend the session – scheduled to end on Friday – by one week to finish the details.

The Miami Herald/St. Petersburg Times writes that a joint conference committee will now take up the differences in the chambers’ bills on the Seminole Tribe compact and parimutuel facilities. The committee began meeting at 8 a.m. this morning.
