From the poker room that brought you the Pros vs. Joes tournament series comes its first H.O.R.S.E. tournament. One-Eyed Jacks at Sarasota Kennel Club will put a new twist on its Pros vs. Joes series, utilizing the mixed-game format this time around. The event will be Sept. 26-27 at 1 p.m. and an early confirmation just came to Ante Up that world-class pro Dewey Tomko of the Winter Haven area has agreed to play.
The buy-in will be $450 and the field will be limited to 160 players. Satellites will be available. Starting chips will be 5,000 with an optional $20 dealer add-on for 1,500 more chips. If the field is sold out then first place pays $20K.
A HORSE tournament is a mixed game format involving (H)old’em, (O)maha, (R)azz, (S)tud and Stud (E)ight or better. After each blind level the games change.
