Hollywood’s Seminole Hard Rock will host the third in a series of $3,000 buy-in charity poker tournaments to benefit local nonprofit organizations on Aug. 22-24 in the Poker Room at Seminole Paradise. It will offer players a choice between two first days of play, either Aug. 22 (Friday) or Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. with the second day of play on Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. This event benefits the Ann Storck Center, which serves South Florida’s children and adults with severe and multiple developmental disabilities.

Also, players can participate in a “Main Event” tournament through Aug. 10. The two-day Cruiserweight Division is on Wednesday (Aug. 6) at 10 a.m. and Thursday (Aug. 7) at 10 a.m. with a $575 buy-in; Heavyweight Division is Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. and Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. with an $1,100 buy-in. The Main Event will be Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. Remaining players from Round 1 of the Heavyweight Division will battle for the title.

And finally, weekly no-limit hold’em multi- and single-table tournaments in August include: High Hand on Sundays-Fridays from 4 a.m.– 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.– 8 p.m. Every hour the highest hand receives $500 in cash. Sundays-Fridays at noon, the first 10 players with a four-of-a-kind will receive a free entry into the Aug. 29 tournament at 11 a.m. with a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool. On Sundays and Fridays at 8 p.m., the first 20 players with four of a kind will receive a free entry into a $140 SNG tournament. For Aces Cracked, 15 players get $100 on Sundays-Fridays at 8 p.m.
