Shawn Cunix of Galena, Ohio, has moved into eighth place in the race for Ante Up’s 2012 Player of the Year.
Cunix won the $5,000-buy-in World Poker Tour Jacksonville main event at BestBet Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Fla., which began April 27. Cunix won $426,100 in the 320-player event.
Cunix earned 840.58 Ante Up POY points, good for eighth place. Abraham Araya of Carrollton, Texas, remains in first place with 1,314 points.
