John Dolan of Biloxi, Miss., has moved into second place in the race for Ante Up’s 2012 Player of the Year.
Dolan was the runner-up in the $10,000-buy-in World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown main event at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in Hollywood, Fla., which began April 18. Tommy Vedes of Jackson Heights, N.Y., won the $10,000 buy-in event that attracted 291 players.
Dolan had previously won the Million Dollar Heater main event this season, and now has 1,286.23 points, just 28.55 points off of the leader, Abraham Araya of Carrollton, Texas.
Vedes earned 852.94 Ante Up POY points, good for seventh place. Sharon Levin of Pembroke Pines, Fla., finished fifth and moved into 10th place with 771.69 points with his second points-qualifying performance of the season.
