The Atlantis Casino wrapped up its WPT Regional event in September, paying out more than $450K over 28 events.
The $1,650 main event attracted 111 runners for a $200K prize pool as Reno local Steve Brecher took home $58K and the title. The final table included two Atlantis dealers, Travis Francis and Kyle Hanson, who won a seat into the main event via satellite, taking home a combined $13K. Brecher was followed by Roger Sippl ($38K), Dean Friedlander ($25K), Jed Hoffman ($18K) and Gerald Morrell ($14K).

Said Atlantis poker room assistant manager Keith Dames: “We were pleased with the tournament as a whole. The event ran smoothly, thanks in part to our outstanding tournament staff. Our guests for this event complimented the generous structures.”

WENDOVER: The Wendover Nugget Hotel and Casino in West Wendover, Nev., will award an Ante Up Poker Cruise package to the winner of its Ante Up Poker League that runs through Dec. 31. The champion of the league, which began Aug. 1, will be the player with the best average finishing position in tournament points and live game hours clocked during the league period. At 8 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month of league play, a $2K freeroll will be held. Players can earn additional starting chips based on tournament points and live game hours from the previous month. The champion will win an Ante Up Poker Cruise package for up to two people on the March 30 sailing from Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera and a league champion’s jacket. WSOPC: The World Series of Poker Circuit at Harveys Lake Tahoe runs through Nov. 4 and the first flight of the four-day $1,675 main event is Nov. 1 at noon. Poker room supervisor Apollo Poth said he’s “extremely excited for this year’s circuit event, as the 2012 series crushed numbers from the previous years and we even set a record for the largest tournament in Northern Nevada history. I expect the success and popularity of last year’s event to roll over into this one and I’m looking forward to another amazing turnout this year.”
