The IP Casino Resort and Spa, located in Biloxi on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, hosts the Worlds Series of Poker Circuit for the fourth-consecutive year began Sept. 5 and continues through Sept. 16.

During the 12-day series, 12 gold ring events take place including the opening $365 event which boasts a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. Other notable tournaments include a $365 NLHE re-entry event that began Friday. The tournament has three starting flights (Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at noon and 5 p.m.) and is likely to boast the largest field of the series.

The first of two starting flights in the $1,675 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event begins Friday, Sept. 13 at 12 p.m., 24 hours prior to Saturday’s flight B.

The defending champion, Kyle Cartwright, kicked things off in record fashion last year winning his fifth Circuit gold ring, second Main Event and then tying Mark "Pegasus" Smith for the all-time lead.

While Cartwright bested a field of 300 entrants to win $107,992, this year, four Main Event satellites, including two megas and two turbos on Friday, Sept. 13, are expected to swell above 300 and award an even richer prize to its champion.

A full schedule of events is available on WSOP.com.

November Niner John Dolan joined Cartwright as one of the notables to win a ring at IP Biloxi in 2012. Dolan bested a field of 146 in Event 6 to score his first Circuit victory and add to his more than $1.9 million in career earnings. In addition to the win, Dolan placed 18th in the opening $365 NLHE event and third in the main event, earning more than $60,000 over the 12-day series and falling just short of Casino Champion honors.

Dolan’s attendance is still up in the air, but Cartwright and many other of the circuit’s top grinders are confirmed to take their seats again in 2013 as they pursue circuit fame, fortune and a seat in the season-ending national championship.
