A tournament benefiting cancer research and featuring several former Ohio State football and basketball stars will be Aug. 25 at The Blackwell on the The Ohio State University campus.

The poker tournament has a $150 suggested donation buy-in, with optional high-hand and bounty jackpots available, with a lunch buffet included. The tournament starts at 10:30 a.m., and players start with 6,000 units, and get an additional 1,000 by pre-registering before Aug. 24.

Half of all money raised will support the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer, which in turn supports the Urban & Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
