Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind., continues to be the premiere place to play in southeastern Indiana as it recently opened its new poker room location, at right. The new area, which is on the main floor, has 19 tables and diverse games from no-limit hold’em to pot-limit Omaha, as well as many promotions.

The daily tournament schedules have continued with no interruption and the major tournaments held throughout the year will continue to be in the ballroom.

CASINO PURCHASE: Centaur Holdings, the Indianapolis-based owners of Hoosier Park in Anderson, Ind., have been granted the rights to purchase Indiana Grand Casino and Downs in Shelbyville. This will allow the company to seek state and federal regulatory approval to complete the deal. Both central Indiana racinos have been providing parimutuel horse racing and e-table gaming, including e-table poker, since 2008.
