Keith Ferrera of Las Vegas, Nev., has moved into second place in the race for Ante Up’s 2012 Player of the Year.
Ferrera won the $2,500-buy-in Deep Stack Extravaganza I main event at Venetian Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nev., which began Feb. 19. Ferrera earned $139,720 for the victory in the 254-player field.
Ferrera is the first player to earn points in more than one Ante Up Player of the Year event in 2012. Paul Lieu of Aurora, Ill., who finished seventh, also has points in two events this year.
Ferrera earned 700.92 Ante Up POY points for a total of 1019.55, good for second place. Abraham Araya of Carrollton, Texas, remains in first place with 1,314 points.
