Towers Casino in Grass Valley, Calif., opened for poker on Monday, but the next day, it closed the next day after California Department of Justice officers visited the establishment, according to media and social media reports.

The casino required masks of players and had cleaning procedures in place, but games were full ring before the shut down. While tribal casinos in California are clear to open, non-tribal cardrooms have not been given permission to open.
