The new year starts off at bestbet Jacksonville in North Florida with a $200K guarantee $1,100 main event with starting flights ‪Jan. 24-25‬ ‪at 11 a.m‬ and a live-streamed Day ‪2 on Jan 26‬.

There will be 11 tournaments in this Winter Open, including a $360 opener with a $100K guarantee and four starting flights ‪Jan. 17-18. Also in the series will be ‬stud/8-Omaha/8 mix, bounty, deepstack, monster stack, Iron Man, Big O/8-PLO mix and turbos.

The annual Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl drew 96 entries for an $11,520 prize pool and ended in a four-way chop as Danielle Sage prevailed as champion. Michael DePasquale, Garrett Stahl and Keith Jones were runners-up.

BESTBET ORANGE PARK: The $30K deepstack November event drew 315 players for a prize pool of $50K-plus. Corey Lipke of Jacksonville won $10,197 as champion in a tourney that paid 40 places. Daniel Frederick of Lancaster, N.Y., was runner-up.

Look for $50 tourneys Tuesdays ‪at 7 p.m‬ and Sundays ‪at noon‬.

PENSACOLA POKER ROOM: November wrapped up with all 10 final-table members chopping for $1,967 each in a $20K event that paid 27 places.

This month, $2.5K tourneys run each Wednesday and $2K tourneys are every Friday and Saturday. Satellites into February’s $30K run throughout January and February.

EBRO GREYHOUND PARK: There’s a $50K megastack for $300 ‪Jan. 22-26.‬ Tourney vouchers will be offered as part of a MLK Day high hand special every 15 minutes.

Also, 88 players entered the $5K guarantee in November as 10 players split the $8,360 prize pool.

DAYTONA BEACH RACING AND CARD CLUB: The Players $10K is ‪Jan. 5‬, followed by the GAPT Blizzard series ‪Jan. 10-19‬ and a $20K Premier Deepstack on ‪Jan. 26. This series will be part of Ante Up’s ‬Restock the Shelves food-bank initiative.

The November Players Championship went to Ivan Michel of DeLand for $2,996 and a GAPT Championship seat. He outlasted 147 others in an event that paid 15 spots out of a $11,400 prize pool.

Other GAPT winners were Charles Bell, James White, Jason Zucconi and Fletcher McKinney.

ORANGE CITY RACING AND CARD CLUB: November GAPT winners were Michel, who won two, John Baptiste, Jared Shulz, David Smith, Eric Heitner, David Fowler and Brent Zechiel. The GAPT schedule runs Monday and Tuesday evenings.

CREEK GRETNA: The November $10K finished in a chop as Andrew Gerrard and Bill Hendrix pocketed $1,639 apiece. — Crash Martin
