WSOPC visits Maryland for first time at Horseshoe

Beginning Feb. 26, the World Series of Poker Circuit visits Horseshoe Baltimore, marking the first time the WSOP will be played in Maryland. There will be 14 ring events with the $1,675 main event beginning March 6. There will be satellites, single and multitable, into many of the events throughout the month.

DOVER DOWNS: The Crown Royal Poker Room at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino will be running a series of guarantee tournaments Feb. 6-8. On Feb. 6, there will be a $15K guarantee with a $100 buy-in. On Feb. 7, there will be a $30K guarantee with a $225 buy-in and on Feb. 8 is a $5K guarantee ($50).

There also will be many promotions on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 1). High-hand jackpots will be given away every hour from noon-midnight. There will be a $5K contest to guess the final score of the Big Game. Every player at a table gets a guess. If anybody is correct the table splits $5K. There will be a $2K freeroll as the final 10 players each receive $200.

On Presidents Day (Feb. 16, 11:15 a.m.), there’s a special tournament with a $75 buy-in for a $3K guaranteed prize pool. Call the poker room for more details.

HARRINGTON RACEWAY: The Delaware poker room also offers promotions during the Super Bowl on Feb. 1. There will be $100 hourly high-hand jackpots running 2-6 p.m. on the hour. During the game, there will be $100 splash pots at two random tables at the end of each quarter. Also, there’s a Midnight Madness tournament with one re-entry and $1K added to the prize pool. DELAWARE PARK: The poker room hosts a $100K freeroll March 19. Players need to earn 120 hours of play between now and March 14 to earn entry into the event. Tournament players also receive two hours of play for each tournament they enter. Also, on Feb. 7, there will be a $25K guarantee for a $200 buy-in.
