Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells hosted a Holiday Celebrity Knockout Event on Dec. 7, a $300 tournament that attracted 134 entries plus three celebrity bounties in Lake Delton Fire Chief Darren Jorgenson, PPC pro Mark “P0ker H0” Kroon and 2013 World Series of Poker bracelet-winner Chad Holloway.

The tournament helped raise money for the Lake Delton Fire Department. The buy-in went to the prize pool and players were given an option to add-on, half of which went to the fire department. All told, the event raised $1,370 for the charity while awarding thousands more in prizes. Of the celebrities, Jorgenson was the first to go after about two hours into play.

In Level 7, Holloway followed him out the door via Joseph Donny’s ace-king, which dominated the ace-queen of Holloway. Kroon, who was the last celebrity standing, exited a couple of hours later at the hands of Madison’s Holly Lawler, who also collected $400.

As for the rest of the event, Pat Kellogg, Patrick Walsh, Eric Borcherding, Terry McCaughey and Steven King chopped for $5,070 each. They were followed by Jeremy Charles ($2,071), David Heysek ($1,594), Larry Ormson ($1,249), William Castillo ($986), Leonard Gerrits ($542), Richard McKenzie ($542) and Charles Couts ($542).
