The Ante Up Poker Tour is returning to Wine Country in 2015.
The North Bay Poker Open will run from April 27-May 3 at The 101 Casino in Petaluma, Calif., featuring five events capped off by a $400 buy-in, $40,000 guaranteed Main Event that will put the winner on the cover of the June issue of Ante Up Magazine.
"The 101 Casino is excited to partner once again with Ante Up Magazine to host the North Bay Poker Open," said Nicole Provolt, general manager of The 101 Casino. "The seven-day series will offer a variety of events including a progressive bounty and HA, which is half no-limit hold’em and half pot-limit Omaha."
Last year’s North Bay Poker Open Main Event culminated in unique fashion, with the final three players agreeing to chop the remaining prize pool – and the extras that came with it. Chris Hinchcliffe took the spot on the cover of Ante Up Magazine, Shawn Roberts took the Ante Up World Championship seat and Fernando Moncado took the bracelet.
The 2015 series will open with a $100 no-limit hold’em warm-up event, continue with the bounty and HA events, with one last no-limit hold’em event before the three-flight Main Event begins on May 1. Players also will have two satellite opportunities to get into the Main Event during the series, and weekly satellite opportunities at 6:30 p.m. every Monday starting Feb. 1. Like last year, in addition to the prize pool and the magazine cover, the champion will get a seat in the Ante Up World Championship Main Event at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, Calif., a champion’s bracelet and a personalized champion’s jacket.
Hold’em Radio will again be on-site, broadcasting updates throughout the Main Event, as well as live audio broadcast of the entire final table.
