At the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino, there’s a new Friday night tournament called OneTwenty. And, on the last Friday of each month, this tournament morphs into pot-limit Omaha/8.
The buy-in is $80, the tournament fee is $20 and then there’s a $20 fee for the Losers Lounge.
Altogether, it costs $120, hence OneTwenty. There will be unlimited $50 rebuys for the first three levels and alternates will be allowed until the end of the third blind level. The tournament begins at 6 p.m. with registration starting at 5.
Also, ask how you can earn bonus chips.
So, what’s the Losers Lounge? Every player who plays in the Friday tourney and does not cash can return Saturday morning at 11 to play in the Losers Lounge event, with no further entry fee or buy-in beyond optional dealer bonus.
The Ho Ho Hold’em $230 event is Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. If you take advantage of the early bird registration, which ends Dec. 5, you’ll get $50 free play, a $99 room rate for Dec. 13 and two free buffet tickets for Nations Buffet. If you register Dec. 7-15 you’ll get one buffet ticket and $25 of free play.
ISLETA: The poker room has player-rewards drawings every Thursday in December from 5-11 p.m. for $200 each. Players earn a ticket for each hour of live play. The room also is holding a freeroll Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. for players who qualify by playing25 hours of live play throughout the month.
BUFFALO THUNDER: The poker room will have bounty tournaments Dec. 3 and Dec. 17 plus an Omaha/8 event Dec. 14. The Last Saturday of the Month deepstack will be Dec. 27 ($150).
The annual Holiday Cash Giveaway drawings will be Dec. 11-24 when lucky players get to take home $50-$500.
