The Mohegan Sun scored a big coup with the addition of the DeepStack Poker Tour World Championship, which begins Nov. 18 and culminates with the $2,500 main event Nov. 22. The winners of all 2013 DSPT stops will be represented at this year’s televised main event, which has a $500K guarantee. In addition to the world championship, there will be 11 events (all around $300-$400) and $150K in guarantees, as well as multiple satellites for the main event.

“DeepStacks’ vision to be the industry’s premier poker source aligns perfectly with our established reputation as the premier entertainment and gaming destination,” Mohegan Sun vice president Ray Pineault said. “This partnership will provide players with the most exciting and challenging poker schedule and tournaments available in the industry. We look forward to hosting our DeepStacks championship event with some of the premier poker players in the world this fall.”

The DSPT is building on a successful run of events at Mohegan Sun, with last winter’s stop and recent summer session. The tour attracts local as well as nationally recognized players, including DeepStacks pros, Mike Matusow, Michael Mizrachi and Tristan Wade, who will host several events in November, including the main event.

All DSPT world championship events will be 360 degree live-streamed and held in the poker room, with the exception of the six-handed televised main event final table, which will be in the Cabaret Theater at Mohegan Sun.
