Canterbury Park Racetrack and Card Casino in Shakopee, Minn., will establish the Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame to honor Minnesota poker players and those that have played a key role in the development of poker in the state.
The initial inductees will be unveiled this fall with an induction ceremony to be held Oct. 4 at Canterbury Park.
"The Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame will celebrate the success of local poker players and recognize those that have positively contributed to the betterment of the game,” Michael Hochman, Canterbury Park’s senior director of casino operations said.
The Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame will be governed by a board consisting of industry professionals, poker players and poker media.
