The World Poker Tour Jacksonville Main Event at bestbet belonged to Mike Linster, who bested an impressive field of 350 players for a $296K payday. The $3,500 buy-in resulted in a prize pool that surpassed $1.1 million, and Linster’s cash (and $25K seat at the WPT World Championship) was easily the biggest of his career.

During the series, the winners were all either regulars, Florida residents or serious out-of-state players as nearly 1,900 players entered the undercard events, making this another incredible success for bestbet Jacksonville.

One of the early storylines that caught everyone’s attention was Jonathon Henry, who won the first and third event of the series.
But, as usual, the main event was the big story. Notables joining Linster at the final table were Pete Tinnesz, Piotr Chwala and Danny Schecter, who finished third. Before this victory, Linster’s claim to fame was back-to-back wins at the Borgata in Atlantic City.

DAYTONA BEACH: Daytona Beach Kennel Club held its April Spring Fling, attracting 371 entries for a prize pool of $75K. The final table decided to do a seven-way chop, but first place went to Shana Mandeville. … Results from its popular Deep Stack Charity Classic will be in next month’s issue.
