The first legal, regulated real-money tournament in Nevada was played on Sunday at UltimatePoker.com. The inaugural multi-table tournament on the new site was a $100 buy-in with a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the event reached its 200-player cap well before the first hand was dealt Sunday evening.
The total prize pool of $18,200 was distributed to the top 27 players. First place was awarded to "d4heals," who won $4,173 and the honor of being the first player to win a tournament in Nevada’s legalized online poker market.
