Huan Cung of Sacramento, Calif., is the winner of Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s Ante Up NorCal Classic main event, which was the inaugural Ante Up Poker Tour series.
Cung earned $73,000 for his win in the 342-player, $1,100-buy-in event that began Nov. 30. Cung will be featured on the cover of the January edition of Ante Up Magazine and will receive a personalized Ante Up Poker Tour champion’s jacket.
Finishing fourth in the main event was Walt Strakowski Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla., who was Ante Up’s Player of the Year in 2010.
The Ante Up NorCal Classic kicked off Nov. 19, and featured nine events, many of them with sold-out fields. The main event easily covered its $200,000 guarantee even with a snowstorm on Day 1A.
